Vaisakhi Celebrations at SAIB

The Sikh Association in Brunei (SAIB) joyfully celebrated Vaisakhi, one of the most important and cherished occasions in the Sikh calendar. It was a day of devotion, gratitude, and togetherness, bringing our community together in prayer and celebration.

Vaisakhi marks the birth of the Khalsa in 1699, when Guru Gobind Singh Ji blessed the Sikhs with courage, unity, and discipline. It also reminds us of the timeless values of faith, humility, and service to humanity.

A Day of Spirit and Devotion

At SAIB, the celebrations began with Kirtan, filling the atmosphere with the spiritual warmth of Gurbani. Families and children joined in the prayers, listening and singing with devotion. The sense of unity and love within the sangat made the day truly special.

The tradition of Langar was carried out with heartfelt seva, where members and volunteers prepared and shared food with everyone. This spirit of service and equality reflected the very heart of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings.

With Gratitude

SAIB extends its heartfelt thanks to all members, families, volunteers, and donors who contributed their time, effort, and support to make the Vaisakhi celebrations a success. Your seva and generosity are what keep our community strong and united.

Looking Ahead

Vaisakhi is more than a festival; it is a reminder of who we are and the values we live by. As we carry this spirit forward, SAIB remains committed to serving the community, preserving our heritage, and fostering harmony in Brunei.
