At SAIB House, we recently came together as one family for something truly meaningful — our blood donation camp, organised with the kind support of the Ministry of Health Brunei.
The day was filled with compassion, courage, and a wonderful sense of community spirit. Members, friends, and well-wishers rolled up their sleeves, knowing that each pint of blood collected could save a life. By the end of the camp, we were humbled and proud to share that around 100 bags of blood were filled — a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we act together in service.
A Day of Seva and Togetherness
From first-time donors to those who give regularly, everyone who participated did so with humility and a smile. The medical team from the Ministry of Health ensured everything ran smoothly, with professionalism and care that made all donors feel safe and comfortable.
Looking around the room, seeing brothers and sisters of all ages sitting side by side, giving selflessly without expecting anything in return, was a moment that spoke louder than words. It was seva (selfless service) in its purest form.
Heartfelt Thanks
We wish to extend our warmest gratitude to the Ministry of Health Brunei for their invaluable partnership and support. Their dedication, expertise, and efficiency made the camp possible, and their presence gave everyone confidence throughout the process.
Our sincere thanks also go to the many volunteers who helped with registration, refreshments, coordination, and simply encouraging others to step forward. Without their time and effort, the day would not have run as smoothly as it did.
We are equally grateful to every donor — each of you gave not just blood, but hope and life to someone in need. Your kindness is the true heartbeat of our community.
Finally, we place on record our appreciation for the guidance and encouragement of our President, S. Sharn Jeet Singh, and the Executive Committee of SAIB, whose leadership ensured this initiative came to life.
Looking Ahead
This blood donation camp is a reminder that SAIB is more than just a sporting or cultural association — it is a family that cares, serves, and stands for one another and for the wider society. With nearly 100 lives touched through this effort, we are inspired to continue holding such camps in the future.
Together, through small acts of service, we can bring about big changes. Together, we give hope. Together, we save lives.
